Vans commemorates NASA with a stellar collection of shoes and clothing
Vans is an American manufacturer of skateboarding shoes and related apparel, originating from Anaheim, California, and owned by VF Corporation. The company also sponsors surf, snowboarding, BMX, and motocross teams. From 1996 to 2019, the company has been the primary sponsor of the annual Vans Warped Tour travelling rock festival.
This is part of a series of personal projects that explore quick ideation. Each piece of this series has been done in less than four hours and delivers one visual using 3 main colours. With this practice I don't pretend to deliver a final visual, the main goal is to explore my creative taste and train myself to think and paint my thoughts quickly.
Project Goals
The purpose of this piece was to showcase a sneaker with more aesthetic styles from NASA. Bringing elements such as labels or tables, I tried to emulate the 80's style.
Conclusions
I would use design elements to hide some information such as the table and make the page even simpler, allowing the sneaker to take centre stage.
